Pro-fiction Fujo

A Brief Introduction

I'm Lyon! I've been drawing art of the things I find interesting nearly all my life. I'm 32, bi, go by she/they, live in the U.S., and have a dual BA in Psych and English. I have a very slow day job so I'm typically online throughout the day. My primary interests include consuming and creating content for whatever media I'm into, whether that media is new or old, and sometimes create original content. While I primarily draw, I do write on occasion as well.

What does that mean?

"Pro-fiction" is a reference to the belief that anyone who creates fiction, fanworks or otherwise, should be allowed to create content of whatever they want, including whatever good or bad, positive or negative subject matter that entails. It's fundamentally a belief regarding censorship and the merit of all "art" being allowed to exist, even or especially when it's free to be criticized and discussed by others. You can also describe this position as "anti-censorship" instead.

Fujo is short for Fujoshi, or 腐, which is a derogatory term used to refer to women who are fans of yaoi/boy's love/gay material, typically manga and webcomics. There has been a concerted effort to reclaim the term, so I've been using it to describe myself as a means to do that.

My Hard Limits for Content I'll Create

- I'll likely never go under 16 y/o characters in my sexual content (the only exception for Evangelion characters)
- Direct familial incest and most secondary are uncomfortable for me. Usually only counts for blood family, but not always.
- RPF (Real Person Fiction) ships, aka shipping real people together. Yes, everything RPF. No, the Hannigram Extended Universe is not RPF.
- If someone/something can't pass the Harkness Test, I will not write them in sexual situations (It must have human intelligence or higher, be able to use language to communicate, and be sexually mature.)
- Outright rape.
- Coprophillia, Emetophilia, Eproctophilia, most piss situations are all big Nos.
- There are a lot of specific manipulation/gaslighting/guilt-related situations that will never be in my content for personal reasons.
- Hate content only breeds toxicity, so it has no business taking up an iota of space in my head.
